Can Original Birth Certificates Be Laminated

I laminated my original birth certificate a few years back due to the ageing paper and i recently obtained copies of the birth certificate which have been issued by the authorities laminated are these accepeted by the embassy.

Can original birth certificates be laminated.

Should i now draw new copy from the education board or the laminated ones would be ok. Client portal 1. But since many agencies do not know the new rules many will accept them even though they are laminated. Laminating a birth certificate will invalidate it as an official document.

Laminating might be refused because the birth certificate is not in its original form.
