Can Laminate Pouches Be Cut

Because i use small pieces i have been cutting the pieces laminating and then cutting again so the edges would remain sealed after laminating.

Can laminate pouches be cut.

For years i have laminated the small pieces of my games and centers to make sure they will last. Never cut a pouch before laminating or it will jam inside the machine. For example pouches can be described as being 2 x 75 microns mic thick or 150 microns thick which simply means that 2 sheets of 75 microns are sealed together to make a total of 150 microns. If you do use scissors slide them through the laminate don t open and close the blades.

The straight edge will keep the document perfectly flat so you can cut without any problems. Do you love laminating. This will give you a smoother cut. I started reading stories about teachers who never cut prior to laminating.

If you need a perfectly straight cut use a craft knife and straight edge. Therefore it does not completely protect the edge of the paper from moisture oil or grime like the sealed edge method.

So i just laminate the entire sheet then cut out my pieces.
