Because i use small pieces i have been cutting the pieces laminating and then cutting again so the edges would remain sealed after laminating.
Can laminate pouches be cut.
For years i have laminated the small pieces of my games and centers to make sure they will last.
Never cut a pouch before laminating or it will jam inside the machine.
For example pouches can be described as being 2 x 75 microns mic thick or 150 microns thick which simply means that 2 sheets of 75 microns are sealed together to make a total of 150 microns.
If you do use scissors slide them through the laminate don t open and close the blades.
The straight edge will keep the document perfectly flat so you can cut without any problems.

So far i ve only had a few instances where the lamination pulled off of the paper after cutting them.
However if it makes sense and you can fit more pieces on your lamination by cutting first by all means go for it.

If you need a perfectly straight cut use a craft knife and straight edge.
Therefore it does not completely protect the edge of the paper from moisture oil or grime like the sealed edge method.
So i just laminate the entire sheet then cut out my pieces.
